Step into the vibrant world of Wild Taco, a culinary paradise nestled in the heart of Denver, where flavor reigns supreme and culinary adventures await. We decided to scooter over to the art show in Cherry Creek and made a stop for dinner at Wild Taco for an evening of non-alcoholic margaritas, creamy horchata, and a feast of tacos that will leave you craving for more.
Heather decided to try the Blood Orange Non-Alcoholic Margarita, skillfully crafted with Seedlip N/A Spirit. I decided to try the creamy delight—the house-made Horchata, delicately crafted with coconut milk. Normally this is made with milk but their version makes it a good vegan option. It had a velvety texture and subtle hints of cinnamon, offering a comforting embrace to accompany our taco adventure.
To set the stage for our taco extravaganza, we opted for a classic starter—a plate of freshly made Chips and Salsa. You order the type of salsa that you would like and a side of chips comes with it we decided to try the Tomatillo-Avocado salsa, which had a little more of a kick to it than we expected. But I liked that little kick.
We ordered the KFT Taco, a true masterpiece. It was a fusion of Korean flavors and the humble tofu. Each bite was a taste of Korean Fried Tofu, coated in gochujang sauce, with the crisp Asian slaw. The tamari-lime onions added a tangy kick, while the sesame seeds and scallions sprinkled atop provided a crunch.
Next on our taco journey was the Nopal Taco—a testament to the wonders of cactus. The tender cactus mingled with bell peppers, onions, sweet corn, and creamy black beans, enveloped in the richness of ripe avocado. The tomatillo-avocado salsa added a zesty twist, while a sprinkle of fresh cilantro elevated the experience.
Heather, dared to venture beyond her vegan culinary boundaries and embraced the flavors of the ocean with a Fish Taco, she does that every once in a while. With the succulent mahi-mahi, the taco was a triumph of textures and flavors. The chipotle aioli infused a smoky kick, while the cabbage-carrot slaw provided a satisfying crunch. Sprigs of cilantro added a fresh note, to add to the juicy fish.
With full bellies we were off again to the Cherry Creek Art show for the evening. Our journey to Wild Taco was an extraordinary fiesta of taste, where the non-alcoholic Margaritas and homemade Horchata set the stage for an unforgettable taco feast. From the zesty sips of the Blood Orange Margarita to the creamy Horchata, each sip was a moment of bliss that transported us to a realm of pure culinary enchantment. The KFT Taco and Nopal Taco delighted us with their vibrant flavors and innovative combinations, showcasing the creativity that defines Wild Taco’s culinary prowess. Heather’s courageous choice to break free from her culinary comfort zone led to the discovery of a delectable Fish Taco, a harmonious symphony of flavors from the ocean. Wild Taco is an ode to culinary exploration, a place where flavor boundaries are shattered, and taste sensations take center stage. Unleash your taste buds and embark on a flavorful adventure and prepare to be captivated by the masterful fusion of ingredients and the magical world of tacos that await your arrival.
