While we were heading out of Orlando on our way north, we stopped at an all-vegan restaurant called Leguminati. This plant-based restaurant is a hidden gem that’s not to be missed, especially if you’re looking for delicious vegan food that doesn’t compromise on flavor or creativity.
The staff was friendly and helpful, and the menu was full of exciting options. The girl taking our order helped us decide what we should order and gave us suggestions. We ordered way more than we really needed, that may have been her plan. We decided to try the Buffalo Mac and Sloppy Crunch Crunchwraps, which were their specialties.
First up, the Buffalo Mac. This dish was a hearty combination of perfectly cooked macaroni noodles, smothered in a tangy and spicy buffalo sauce, and topped with crispy bits of breaded vegan Chick’n. The taste was spot on, with just the right amount of spice, and a satisfying crunch to each bite. The sauce was creamy and delicious, with a nice kick of heat that was balanced out by the cooling effect of the vegan ranch dressing.
Next, we tried the Sloppy Crunch Crunchwrap, which was equally impressive. This handheld wrap was filled with seasoned taco meat made from vegan beef crumbles, slop sauce, queso, tostada, rice paper Bacun, fried onions, diced jalapeños, in a flour tortilla. The wrap itself was crispy and held everything together nicely, making it a great option for eating on the go. The combination of textures and flavors in this dish was outstanding, per the host we added the vegan mac and cheese to the wrap which made it even more delicious.
Overall, our experience at Leguminati was fantastic. The Buffalo Mac and Sloppy Crunch Crunchwraps were standout dishes that I would highly recommend. The menu at this restaurant is creative and diverse, with plenty of options for everyone, regardless of dietary restrictions. If you’re ever in Orlando, do yourself a favor and check out Leguminati. You won’t be disappointed! We will be back in Orlando in November and maybe we can stop in again and try a few other crunchwraps.
