On our way back to Orlando to fly back home we made a stop at another all plant-based restaurant called Ethos Vegan Kitchen. We had to try out a new place in Orlando before we left. It’s located on the northern side of Orlando about 30 minutes from the airport. The moment you step inside, you’ll be greeted by a friendly and welcoming atmosphere that is both inviting and comfortable. Being plant-based, we were particularly excited to try Ethos Vegan Kitchen’s menu, Heather’s parents were interested in giving it a try too. Their menu boasts a wide range of vegan dishes, including burgers, wraps, salads, pizzas, and even desserts.
Again, it was very hard to choose what to eat, we asked the server what the most popular things were. She recommended Garlic Knots, they are house made dough is tied by hand, baked until golden brown then brushed with garlic butter and dusted with Parmesan cheese. That sounded pretty good so we ordered a starter for the all of us to try. I also ordered a side of the black beans and rice to give that a try. The knots were to die for, if you did not know that this was all plant based you would think it was made with dairy. The beans were not bad but I didn’t think they were anything special.
Second, she said that the Chickun Bruschetta Sandwich was pretty good. It’s grilled Chickun and their house made bruschetta mix (chopped tomatoes, basil, garlic and mozzarella) topped with spring mix and balsamic Veganaise. Served on thick slices of artisan bread. It also comes with the Blue Tortilla Chips & Tomato-Mango Salsa. The sandwich was hearty and flavorful, and the Chickun and bread had a satisfying crunch.
Heathers parents decided to try the Lasagna, it’s made with five layers of lasagna noodles, ricotta, marinara sauce and hearty vegetables (zucchini, squash, spinach and onions) smothered with mozzarella cheese and fire baked. Served with garlic bread, all plant based! They said that it was pretty good too and that if you didn’t know it was all plant based you would taste a difference. We topped it all off with a couple cookies to go for the trip home. Those were pretty good as well.
Overall, if you are in Orlando, I would highly recommend Ethos Vegan Kitchen to anyone looking for delicious vegan food. The restaurant offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, and outstanding service. Whether you’re a vegan or just looking to try something new, it is definitely worth a visit.
