The Denver Aquarium is a popular attraction in Colorado that draws in visitors from all around the world. I always really enjoyed the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport, Oregon. For some reason I really like going to aquariums, maybe it is something from my childhood, I am not sure. When Lauren was a kid, we used to take her to aquariums in Oregon, when she was in town for the weekend, I thought that it would be fun to check out the one here in Denver.

As you walk through the entrance to the aquarium you can hear the sound of water, fell the humidity in the air and the smell scent of sea life.  As you walk along the path that winds through the building there are tanks filled with different kinds of aquatic life. Some that are very common and a few that looked exotic.

There was a wide range of exhibits that showcased different types of marine environments from around the world. We saw tropical fish, sharks, and sea turtles, and learn about the different habitats. The exhibits were both educational and visually stunning, some of the displays that made us feel like we were in the middle of an underwater world.

At one of the stops there was a massive tank filled with all sorts of marine life. The tank has numerous species of fish, including sharks, eels, and rays, and we were able to get up close and personal with these incredible creatures. There is a tunnel that takes you right through the middle of the tank as sharks and rays swim above you.

One of the highlights of our visit was the interactive exhibits that allowed us to touch and interact with some of the marine life. We were able to pet starfish, sea urchins, and even stingrays. It was a unique opportunity to learn about these fascinating creatures and to experience them up close.

I was a little thrown off a little from was seeing a tiger in an aquarium. I didn’t feel that was right, their cage was all cement and they didn’t appear to have any outside connection for fresh air. I have read that there was a petition to have them relocated to the Wild Animal Sanctuary. I would much rather go see them there, not in an aquarium where you are there to see the fish.

We didn’t do the 4D cinema experience but I have read that is a lot of fun and a good experience. Maybe I can talk Heather into going back some time and watching that. In the end Heather really didn’t like it too much, I think Lauren thought it was not bad but could be better. I felt that the Denver Aquarium is a pretty neat attraction that provides a unique and unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages. It has a diverse range of exhibits, interactive experiences, and stunning visual displays, it’s a perfect place to visit with family and friends. I recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a fun and educational adventure with the kids.
