Las Vegas does have an all-vegan Indian restaurant but it was a lot farther away from where we were staying and we didn’t want to take that drive. It was not in the cards that night, pun intended. So, we took a roll of the dice and decided the next best thing was a place that was close and had a lot of vegan options. Sorry again for the pun. That ended up being Delhi Indian Cuisine. We have found that most Indian restaurants have a lot of vegetarian options but not always a lot of vegan options. Delhi had a whole page specific to vegan options and a lot throughout the rest of the menu that could be made vegan. That is a nice benefit since the plant based (vegan) craze has blown up recently and a lot of places don’t even try to accommodate.
This place was in a newer strip mall area in the northern part of Silverado Ranch. I am not sure about this neighborhood, but it seemed ok when we were there. The place was very quiet when we first arrived, which is always a sign for Heather that the place is not good. However, we were hungry and didn’t want to go find someplace else to eat. After a bit, more people did show up and there were a few to go pickups that came in. The service was not bad but he could have come by a little more to check on things, over all it was good.
We ended up trying something different then what we normally get and ordered the Vegetable Biryani, which for some reason showed up with a cream sauce, when I asked about it, he said was not vegan. I am not sure why they would bring that out when ordering from the vegan part of the menu. We did order some Naan that was not vegan but vegetarian, so maybe he thought it was ok? You may want to ask if you are trying to stay away from all non-vegan things completely or have a dietary restriction.
The meal was good and they give you a pretty big portion. I would recommend this place because they have something for everyone vegan, vegetarian and the meat eaters out there.
