After a new lunch experience my dad found a place that makes vegan ice cream. Why not try that out on a warm summer day in Portland, which doesn’t happen very often. If you’re vegan or lactose intolerant, fear not, for Cloud City Ice Cream has you covered. Nestled in the heart of the Woodstock neighborhood, this ice cream parlor is a haven for those seeking plant-based frozen treats. Most of the time there are only one or two non-dairy options but this place actually has 6 to 8 different options. After getting a few tasters we decided to try the Orange Dark Chocolate and Thai Coconut. Made with a base of coconut milk and other natural ingredients, their offerings are as rich and creamy as traditional dairy ice cream, if not more so. I always like a good chocolate ice cream and my choice was the Orange Dark Chocolate.
