We headed back towards Dallas but more specifically towards Plano. We were going to go to dinner at a place called China Blue. It is located in a shopping mall that seems to be all Asian food places and stores. In fact, there is an Asian grocery store called zTAO Marketplace in the same complex. We enjoy going through these stores because they have totally different foods that are fun to look through and try. There are a lot of different brands and things that you don’t normally see in other grocery stores. We have one like this in Denver that we like to shop at occasionally.
China Blue is very well decorated in Chinese decor and makes you feel like you just stepped into a restaurant in China. The waitress was very nice but she didn’t speak a whole lot of English, so it was difficult trying to get our order in without pointing at the menu and thinking that talking louder would actually make her understand. We were finally able to get our order placed, after a little back and forth of each other trying to figure out what we wanted. We ordered a vegetable noodle meal that came with onions, mushrooms, broccoli and water chestnuts. We also ordered a side of the vegetable dumplings. They are hand made dumplings there in the restaurant and they are delicious. If all you came here for were to get dumplings, that would be just fine. I am not sure how the meat dumplings taste, but I would assume they are just as delicious. The noodle meal was very good, and had a good flavor and a good number of vegetables and serving size. It was enough for the both of us to share and get a good taste of their food. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is nice.
We finished up dinner and with full bellies we headed towards Anna Texas to end the day. It has been a great day and we enjoyed seeing all that we did. If you missed the blog before this, see our blog about our day at Lake Caddo and the boat tour.
