Quick Bite, Big Flavor: Tofu Banh Mi At Cha Lua Deli, Portland

Sunday morning, we got up and had a great homemade breakfast then went for a walk up to Mount Talbert Nature Park and did the loop around the top part of the mountain. It was a great place to get out in nature and enjoy the nice weather that Portland was having. We packed up our things and headed towards the airport to make our way back home.

We stopped at a small place off 82nd called Cha Lua Deli that had a tofu Banh Mi and had a pretty good rating. We have never been there before and had not heard about it from anyone but decided to get something to go for our flight later.

It’s a small place and they only have takeout. There is no seating and it’s a no-frills place. It was a lot smaller than we expected but it was a lot cheaper than the ones we get here in Denver. But they were quick and friendly and the sandwich was pretty good.

It has been a good weekend to get our minds off the stressful things that have been going on in life. We are headed back to Denver to face whatever happens in the next month with us. More to come!

Thanks for wandering with us,
