Hidden Gems And Must-Visit Locations At Pike Place Market, Seattle

We had our first visitors to see us in Seattle. Heather’s parents were down in the Portland area and came up for a day to visit and see our new place. It was a nice day, so we decided it would be fun to go down to Pike’s Place market and look around.

We drove downtown, which is only about a 10 to 15-minute drive from our new place. We quickly found that parking is hard to come by and expensive in the downtown area. We found a place close by and walked down Pike’s Place. That place was crazy, there were people everywhere. Part of that is due to the Norwegian Cruise line that Parks just off the docks down below. They were in town and I think everybody from that ship was at Pike’s Place to check it out as well.

We wandered around, looking at a lot of the shops and the vendors. There are multiple floors so you can get lost fairly easily in all sorts of different places. Up towards the top of Pike’s Place Market is the first Starbucks that started here in Seattle. The line to get in was very long, and the store was not very big. I will come back down during the week early morning and go check it out for myself when there are not as many people.

From there we headed back up towards the car to find our way back home for the afternoon. It’s a fun place to visit and we will be back again for sure.

Thanks for wandering with us,
